10% of a Cat Game is an arcade-style action game, and it's COMPLETE, don't let anyone convince you otherwise. It was made using Godot for the Godot Wild Jam 2023.

The objective? To catch the damn mouse scurrying around, of course.

But beware! While cats are fierce predators they are also preys: pesky dogs lurk around, ready to pounce you and remind you who's the leader of the pack, and on the roads there's those metal giants speeding without care that humans call "cars", don't get hit by those! Hm? A mysterious shadow? Maybe you shouldn't get too close to that one.

The mouse is terribly fast, so I'll give you some tips:

- move around with WASD or the directional arrows
- to pounce on the mouse, point the mouse in the direction you wanna jump then press spacebar or left click
- explore the maps and you might just find the right power-up!
- dogs will stop following you if you go far enough from them, so try to run as fast as you can
- dogs are also rather stupid, so they might crash into things, be sure to run away when they do!
- cats have seven lives but you're on your last one, be careful! Maybe there's a way to get some lives back.

Good luck, and may the feline gods grant you boons in your hunt.

About us:

we're a collective/group of friends with wildly different backgrounds and experiences and we're still learning the basics of videogame making. This game was made for the Godot Wild Jam and we had three newcomers on the project. Feedback and proposals are much appreciated, so leave us comments!

Known bugs (we're gonna try and fix them after everyone gets at least a good night of sleep):

- performances are not optimized, if you're having trouble with the html version (slowing down) try downloading it
- the counter at the end put most things in "bins trashed", but the scoring is accurate
- frame drops might happen
- some mice really wanna walk through walls, it's not a bug, they're just dumb
- yes the powerups are not related to the sfx slider, that's... uhm... sorry, I guess
